A Daily Spiritual Walk II ![]() Maybe we’re faced with some tough decisions, it might be that you’re trying to have children and it just isn’t working. Remembering Proverbs 3:5,6 5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding, 6) IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS. We have to be able to pray about everything and be able to say in every situation, “Lord, if this is your will for my/our lives we accept it,” and then let God’s will be done. Remember Sarah in the Old Testament? She had a baby in old age. God knows our past, present and future, He knows if we're going to stay married, or stay healthy, or if something will happen to us or our baby. He has the best in mind for us all of the time. Faith is the key. We can get outside of God’s will and way for our lives. I have seen many times where a couple didn’t want to wait on God’s timing and they did things like adopted a child, or had artificial insemination or some other kind of expensive procedure. Then, not long after the first baby is delivered, the wife gets pregnant naturally because God is saying, OK, you didn’t want to wait for my timing, so He opens the womb to natural fertilization and pregnancies. Sometimes we may make a wrong decision in things. After prayer, what is our heart telling us and what is our mind telling us, where is our peace coming from? If we are secure in Christ, we can feel peaceful about decisions that honor God, and don’t necessarily go along with our common sense. Sometimes we have to say, I am going to trust God for this one and wait for an answer! The most important part of all decision making is that there was the appropriate amount of prayer and preparation, a heart of obedience in everything, and a decision based upon faith. We have to let go of our control in order for God to take control. We have to be able to say to ourselves sometimes, I don’t know what to do, and wait longer for the leading of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we can move too fast for God to work. Patience is a big virtue, haste makes waste as they say, you waste the faith you could have put in God. We sometimes just need to stop in our tracks as they say, this means, no more action, wait upon the Lord. Now, sometimes we miss our leading. If you feel a leading or any small voices saying to you, do this, you can ask God for more conformation and don’t specify how it has to come. You may develop a habit of waiting on God for a second and third conformation in the form of a specific hint or leading. Then you can go forward with your decision. Here’s an eye opener. Satan walks around transforming himself as an angel of light seeking whom he may devour. So, be aware of the direction that answers to your prayers may be coming from. It’s not unusual for us to imitate Gideon in the Old Testament and put out a fleece. This means that you might need to test God by praying in secret, this means non-verbally so Satan can’t hear your prayer and then let God show you his mighty works. Lean on God, not on the world’s way or common sense. I want to expound on an avenue of our spiritual walk which most people are not aware of. When you have reached a point of dedication of heart in your life, so that no matter what the condition of your mind is, or the condition of your situation is, you focus on the workings of Christ in your life, because of your hearts condition, then you will experience the sovereignty of Christ in you. At this juncture in your walk, you can be sure that the Holy Spirit is leading you, no matter of your state of mind. We are conditioned through life to react according to our common logic and common sense. When circumstances enter into our life that are anything to us but normal, we can react to them naturally by the wisdom that is given to us through the Holy Spirit. What this means is that, while we may feel like we're going against biblical guidelines, God has pre-judged the elements of our situation, knows our heart, and leads us into a more Godly state of being. It may be that we are being burdened by a situation that falls into the realm of secularism or being confronted by believers who are acting as a non-believer. You see the problem with living in this earth is that Satan is the ruler of the earth, and God is the ruler of our spirit if we are a born again Christian. So we need to be in the word and in prayer, which also is the oneness and identity of our spirit with God in us. We may pray externally, but God is already in us leading us into the light and a better place. So, no matter what the cost, we need to heed and listen to our spirit as God leads. GOD FIRST Our Lord trusted no man; yet He was never suspicious, never bitter, never
in despair about any man, because He put God first in trust; He If I put my trust
in human beings first, I will end in despairing of everyone; no man ever can
be - absolutely right. Never trust anything but the Put God's Needs First. "Lo, I come to do Thy will, O God. " Hebrews 10:9 A man's obedience is to what he sees to be a need; Our Lord's obedience
was to the will of His Father. The cry to-day is - "We must we must go and tell them of Him." We have to see first of all that God's needs in us personally are being met. "Tarry ye until. . . . " The purpose of this
College is to get us rightly related to the needs of God. His needs elsewhere. Put God's Trust First. "And whoso receiveth one such little child in my name receiveth Me." Matthew 18:5 God's trust is that He gives me Himself as a babe. God expects my personal life to be a "Bethlehem." Am I allowing my natural life to be slowly transfigured by the indwelling life of the Son of God? God's ultimate purpose is that His Son might be manifested in my mortal flesh. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My hope for you is that you have had a prayer of salvation, and if you haven't and you want to ask Christ into your heart and life, then I offer these words for you to repeat, but only if your heart is sincere, because God knows it if you're not. ******************************************************* Dear God, I now know I have needed you and have rejected your calling, so today, right now, I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and my life, and forgive me from all past sin and Lord cleanse me from my unrighteousness. I believe that Jesus was crucified for my sin, died, and was buried and rose from the dead according to the scriptures. I want you forever more to be my guide and I want to follow you as a believer. I ask for your strength to change my heart and my earthly ways so that I can become a better child in your kingdom. Show me how to depend on you in all things. And show me how to do your will in my life. I thank you and pray this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen! |
