President Donald Trump speaks to the press before boarding Air Force One for a trip to a campaign rally in Freeland, Mich., Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, in Andrews Air Force Base, Md.

WASHINGTON  — President Trump announced Wednesday he will sign an executive order that would require medical care be given to babies who are born alive after failed abortion attempts.  “I will be signing the Born-Alive Executive Order to ensure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve. This is our sacrosanct moral duty,” said Trump in a pre-recorded video address during the 16th annual National Catholic Prayer Breakfast. Trump said his administration is increasing funding for neonatal research to ensure “every child has the very best chance to thrive and grow.”

Planned Parenthood Testimony On Selling Baby Parts Unsealed,
New Videos Released

Planned Parenthood Officials Testified Under Oath About Financial Incentives in Fetal Tissue Research Programs in Abortion Giant’s Own Lawsuit
Contact: David Daleiden, media@centerformedicalprogress.org, 949.734.0859

IRVINE, May 26–The Center for Medical Progress, whose undercover videos exposed Planned Parenthood leadership negotiating the harvesting and sale of aborted fetal body parts, released a new video today featuring Planned Parenthood officials’ sworn videotaped testimony about the sales.

The new video release documents the Planned Parenthood officials’ admissions, which came in Planned Parenthood’s own retaliatory lawsuit over the undercover footage and contradict Planned Parenthood’s public claims about both the undercover videos and the abortion provider’s fetal tissue research programs. The testimony was unsealed this spring.

The video shows how Planned Parenthood Federation of America, while under investigation in 2015, told Congress that its Gulf Coast affiliate in Houston had “rebuffed” an undercover proposal to sell fetal livers for $750 per liver and $1600 for liver/thymus pairs. But Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast‘s Senior Director of Abortion Access, Tram Nguyen, testified that she “wanted to move forward with it,” as documented in contemporaneous emails between her and PPGC’s Regional Director Dyann Santos.

The video also features sworn testimony from Dr. Dorothy Furgerson, the longtime Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, the largest Planned Parenthood affiliate in the country. Dr. Furgerson signed PPMM’s contract with StemExpress to sell fetal body parts to StemExpress per specimen “determined in the clinic to be usable”, and Dr. Furgerson’s endorsement appears on a StemExpress brochure handed out at National Abortion Federation meetings advertising “fiscal[] rewards” and “financial profits” to the abortion clinics who provided fetal tissue to StemExpress. When asked if the purpose of the brochure was “to obtain more potential sources of fetal tissue,” Dr. Furgerson testified, “Yes, I understood that that’s what they were trying to do.”

The video shows StemExpress paid Planned Parenthood solely based on the number of “usable” samples that StemExpress could harvest from PPMM’s abortions, at least an extra $65 per abortion if the customer ordered a fetal organ plus a blood sample. PPMM does over 17,000 abortions a year, and unsealed invoices show PPMM making $25,000 in just 3 months from StemExpress. When asked how much money an abortion clinic could make per year from selling fetal body parts, the founder and CEO of Planned Parenthood partner Advanced Bioscience Resources, Linda Tracy, was forbidden by her lawyer to answer.

The video also includes testimony from Dr. Deborah Nucatola, the Senior Director of Medical Services for PPFA from the first undercover video release. When asked when she first found out about Planned Parenthood affiliates “receiving payments for fetal tissue”, Dr. Nucatola testified, “I knew [Planned Parenthood Los Angeles] was getting payments because I was a provider there,” yet testified she never felt the need to check PPLA’s compliance with PPFA policies. Dr. Mary Gatter, the former PPLA Medical Director who established the relationship with “for-profit” biotech company Novogenix, testified that PPFA provided a “waiver” for PPLA to begin the program.

42 U.S. Code 289g-2 broadly forbids the exchange of valuable consideration for fetal tissue. After investigating Planned Parenthood and companies like StemExpress and ABR for over a year, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s Select Investigative Panel made criminal referrals for Planned Parenthood and their business partners to the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice. In late 2017, the DOJ announced it had opened a federal investigation, and two southern California companies admitted guilt to selling body parts from Planned Parenthood Orange & San Bernardino Counties against the law in a $7.8 million settlement with the Orange County District Attorney.

Last week, the Small Business Administration demanded 37 Planned Parenthood affiliates return $80 million in federal relief loans they fraudulently certified they were eligible for, and 27 Senators called on Attorney General Bill Barr to broaden the DOJ investigation of the Planned Parenthood affiliates’ activities.

CMP project lead David Daleiden notes: “The time has come for federal consequences for Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood lied to the public and to Congress, but now there is no longer any reasonable doubt that Planned Parenthood sold fetal body parts, commodifying living children in the womb and treating pregnant women like a cash crop. The U.S. Department of Justice must escalate the enforcement of laws against fetal trafficking to the highest level of priority.”

Gosnell House of Horrors: Just One of Many Abortion Slaughterhouses

Written by William F. Jasper

The stomach-churning accounts of the revolting conditions and practices at Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortion mill (shown) have caused even abortion activists and “pro-choice” media commentators to condemn Gosnell as a “monster” and an “appalling” criminal. However, the biggest players in the abortion industry — Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation — have admitted both to knowing about the horrors being committed at the Gosnell abattoir, and to doing nothing to stop them. They did not complain; they did not report Gosnell to authorities. In fact, for many years, up until his arrest, Dr. Gosnell also performed abortions at the Atlantic Women's Medical Services in Wilmington, Delaware, a facility that is a member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF) and inspected and certified by the NAF. In fact, many of the illegal late-term abortions Gosnell performed began at the NAF Delaware “clinic” and were then transferred to his Philadelphia abortuary for completion.

On May 13, a jury (that included nine jurors who reportedly identified themselves as “pro-choice”) pronounced Dr. Gosnell guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and one count of involuntary manslaughter, as well 21 counts of performing illegal late-term abortions, and more than 200 other lesser charges.

The horrific details of malpractice, malfeasance, death, and abuse that were revealed in the Philadelphia grand jury report on Gosnell and witness testimony during the trial shocked even many abortion supporters. MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews, an ardent abortion-rights advocate, admitted that the accounts of the regular goings-on at the Gosnell clinic were so revolting that members of his MSNBC staff were unable to even finish reading them.

The Gosnell “House of Horrors” has become infamous for, among other things: blood-spattered floors, walls, blankets and furniture; cat urine and feces throughout; numerous baby feet and other baby body parts saved in jars and jugs as if “trophies”; unlicensed and untrained “assistants” administering drugs and medical procedures; distributing drugs illegally; callous disregard for the health and safety of patients; filthy instruments and lack of proper medical equipment. Most horrific or all, of course, is Dr. Gosnell’s signature “snipping,” his term for killing babies with a scissors. The grand jury report stated:

When you perform late-term “abortions” by inducing labor, you get babies. Live, breathing, squirming babies. By 24 weeks, most babies born prematurely will survive if they receive appropriate medical care. But that was not what the Women’s Medical Society was about. Gosnell had a simple solution for the unwanted babies he delivered: he killed them. He didn’t call it that. He called it “ensuring fetal demise.” The way he ensured fetal demise was by sticking scissors into the back of the baby’s neck and cutting the spinal cord. He called that “snipping.”

Over the years, there were hundreds of “snippings.” Sometimes, if Gosnell was unavailable, the “snipping” was done by one of his fake doctors, or even by one of the administrative staff.

Another shocking passage in the grand jury report informs us regarding Gosnell’s gruesomely cavalier attitude toward killing the victim prosecutors identified as “Baby Boy A”:

His 17-year-old mother was almost 30 weeks pregnant — seven and a half months — when labor was induced. An employee estimated his birth weight as approaching six pounds. He was breathing and moving when Dr. Gosnell severed his spine and put the body in a plastic shoebox for disposal. The doctor joked that this baby was so big he could “walk me to the bus stop."

However, pro-life advocates emphasize two points concerning the terrible conditions and practices at Gosnell’s:

1) Gosnell’s facility is not at all unique; similarly horrendous conditions and practices are prevalent at many abortion facilities;

2) The real horror is not the shocking filth, depravity, and corruption exposed at Gosnell’s charnel house; babies aborted in immaculate, state-of-the-art hospitals and clinics are just as dead. And it is every bit as evil to kill them inside the womb with chemicals or suction machines as it is to kill them weeks, days, or seconds later outside the womb with a pair of scissors or other instrument.

Abortionist Kermit Gosnell's murder trial will force many people to grapple anew with the fact that our abortion laws and policies have established arbitrary and irrational criteria that provide for the wholesale killing of an entire class of live human beings based simply on age and location. The real issue — which the abortion promoters and their media accomplices have been eager to obscure — is the crime of abortion itself.

“The abortion industry has tried to distance itself from the Gosnell ‘House of Horrors’ as if a clean, sanitized abortion clinic is a much better place for babies to die, and, for that matter, mothers to die,” says Ann Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League. “Don’t forget Tonya Reaves, who had her abortion in a nice, clean Michigan Avenue abortion clinic operated by Planned Parenthood in Chicago,” she adds. “No guilty verdict in her case. In fact, no charges."

The Gosnell case, Scheidler avers, “forces America to look at the underlying conundrum of a society that accepts abortion as a legitimate choice, thereby admitting that the unborn baby has no standing among us.”

“Dr. Gosnell is only the front man; and the real trial has only just begun. The defendant is the abortion license in America,” says Robert P. George, a Princeton law professor and pro-life advocate. After the Gosnell trial, says Prof. George, “it will no longer be possible to pretend that abortion and infanticide are radically different acts or practices.”

“The unsafe conditions of the clinic do not cause our gut-wrenching response,” Collin Garbarino wrote in First Things at the start of the Gosnell trial. “No. Our horror stems from the very act of abortion itself, the most brutal and distasteful act tolerated in America today.”

Rep. Chris Smith (R–N.J.), co-chairman of the House Bipartisan Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, said that “not much” difference exists between Gosnell’s “House of Horrors” and abortion clinics around the country.

“Some abortionists may have cleaner sheets than Gosnell, and better sterilized equipment and better trained accomplices, but what they do — what Gosnell did — kill babies and hurt women — is the same,” Rep. Smith said in a May 13 statement.

Some 55 million babies have been killed through abortion since the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision legalizing it 40 years ago. Here is how some of the leading opponents of abortion see the Gosnell trial and verdict, in the context of that ongoing human holocaust:

We undoubtedly will now hear from other abortionists like Planned Parenthood how Gosnell is the exception and that he is not representative of the abortion industry. The highly paid pro-abortion public relations professionals will tell us how Gosnell proves that we need greater access for women to safe abortion.

But Gosnell is the exemplar of those in the industry who place no value on any human being prior to birth, or clearly after birth. He is not the exception; every abortion kills a human being.

Regulating abortion mills or the act of abortion will not solve this terror against the innocent. Abortion is a filthy business, and shiny clean abortion chambers do nothing to change the grievous crime to the most innocent.

Abortion cannot be regulated. It must be eliminated.

— Judie Brown, president of American Life League, the nation’s oldest Catholic pro-life group

The trial of Kermit Gosnell is over. His convictions will surprise very few. But nothing can bring back the innocent children he killed, or make up for the vulnerable women he exploited. We should keep the repugnance of his clinic conditions sharp in our memories, and we should remember the media's inadequacy in covering his case, because Kermit Gosnell is not an exception. Others just like him run abortion mills throughout our country. We need to stop cloaking the ugliness of abortion with misnomers like "proper medical coverage" or "choice." It's violence of the most intimate sort, and it needs to end.

— Philadelphia Archbishop Charles J. Chaput

No sentence can bring back the lives lost at the hands of Kermit Gosnell and his employees, but this decision acknowledges the role he played and how this horror could have been prevented. It is unconscionable that some tattoo parlors, nail salons, and veterinary clinics have greater oversight and sanitary standards than today's abortion clinics, where women are being maimed and murdered, instead of being protected.

— Penny Nance, Concerned Women for America CEO and president

Even as we celebrate this verdict, we honor and mourn as well those among our nation's weakest children who did not receive “their day in court” — and we must remember that Gosnell is not an outlier within the abortion industry. We cannot allow these guilty verdicts, welcome as they are, to make us complacent when it comes to the continuing abuses happening even now in abortion facilities throughout our nation. We call upon Congress to investigate all those participating in or willing to participate in this kind of brutality toward vulnerable women and children, and end it.

— Lila Rose, president of Live Action News

The fate of the serial killer Kermit Gosnell is in the hands of the jury, but the fate of legalized child killing is in our hands: What will our verdict be?… What this case is actually about to me is the fact that when you are in the business of killing children for a living, there comes a point when lines can be easily blurred. It does not shock me in the least that an abortionist would have no problem killing a child outside of the womb. The abortionist knows all too well the true humanity of the child while he or she is still inside the womb. The abortionist understands that a fetus is a human being; he has just allowed himself to discount the value of that human simply because of certain criteria surrounding him or her…. The Kermit Gosnell trial is not about abortion because abortion is just a whitewashing word, used to deflect from what really happens in these clinics: the killing of human beings. This trial is shining a light that so many people want snuffed out, a light that is illuminating the gruesome, bloody and deadly reality that is abortion. In fact the Defense attorney himself, during closing arguments, declared abortion to be bloody and not pretty.

— Bryan Kemper, president of Stand True Pro-life Outreach

There were two victims in the horrific attack earlier this month on Jennifer Irigoyen in New York City. But the state’s law recognizes only one of them.

Anthony Hobson allegedly dragged his former girlfriend into the stairwell of her Queens apartment building and stabbed her in the stomach, neck and torso. Irigoyen was in the second trimester of her pregnancy. Neither she nor her unborn child survived.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown initially announced that Hobson would be charged with second-degree murder as well as second-degree abortion, reasonably enough, considering that he stands accused of killing both Irigoyen and her child. But then, the DA’s office dropped the abortion charge in light of the state’s radical new pro-abortion law.

The law aims to bless any abortion under any circumstance, and with a grim consistency it doesn’t allow the state specially to punish even violent, murderous attacks against the unborn.

The New York State Catholic Conference warned of exactly this prior to the law’s enactment. “Moving abortion from the penal law to the public-health law,” the bishops warned, “is a major policy shift that removes accountability for those who would harm unborn children outside the context of medical termination of pregnancy.” No one cared.

New York is wildly out of the mainstream on this question. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, as of mid-2018, at least 38 states had fetal-homicide laws, and 29 of them had laws that applied beginning from conception. There is also a federal law.

It doesn’t take much moral insight to realize that stabbing to death an unborn child is a profound wrong that deserves to be treated as a crime. But America’s abortion advocates specialize in moral obtuseness. They are opposed to recognition of personhood of any sort for the unborn child, worried that such a concession might undermine the premises of our sweepingly latitudinarian abortion regime.

Such protections raise the question: If an assailant can’t kill a fetus, why can anyone else?

The pro-abortion advocates argue that there is no practical need for fetal-protection laws. Judges, they say, can increase the penalty against an attacker who kills an unborn child. Yes, but there is no guarantee that any given judge will. The charges for a serious assault against a pregnant mother will be stiff regardless, they say. Perhaps, but why ignore one of the crimes?

We don’t say of a mass murderer, “He will spend a lifetime behind bars for one killing, so why charge him with the others?” Justice demands that the state pursue charges on behalf of all the victims.

The pro-abortion forces blinker themselves against how the vast majority of people consider an unborn child. Even before her child is born, a mother — and her family — sacrifices for her child, protects her child, prays for her child and dreams for her child.

She talks to her child and often names her child. She takes her child to the doctor. She, later in her pregnancy, knows when her child is active and when resting.

Her unborn child, in short, is already what it will be after he or she is born — a cause of worry and joy and ceaseless wonder at the miracle of life.

It is telling that pro-abortion advocates resort to euphemism even in this season of extremism. The New York law is called the Reproductive Health Act, an audacious abuse of language; the law is hostile to reproduction and dismissive of the health of unborn children.

Two New York legislators wrote a defense of the law that constantly referred to “abortion care,” as if the addition of “care” softens the reality of what they are supporting.

The wordplay is cute, but the fact is that they deliberately denied the most innocent and vulnerable any explicit protection from heinous violence. This isn’t pro-choice. It isn’t humane. And it doesn’t have anything to do with medicine. In New York, pro-abortion advocates have shown us what they really are, and no one should ever forget.

Mainstream Media Blacks Out The Democrats’ Infanticide Vote

There's no good way to spin the Democrats' vote. So many in the MSM simply ignored it.
February 27, 2019

So I was going to have a little fun at the expense of CNN this morning, contrasting the news site’s headline for the Democrats’ gun restriction bill—“House to vote on guns background check bill with bipartisan support”—which has garnered exactly four Republican co-sponsors, with its headline for the Sen. Ben Sasse’s anti-infanticide bill, which I was certain would be solely about the “GOP” despite having four Democrat senators voting to move the bill forward. Turns out, it was even better.

There was nothing to contrast because, as far as I can tell, CNN doesn’t feature a single story on their website regarding the Democratic Party blocking of Sasse’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have saved newborn babies who survive abortion attempts from negligent homicide.

CNN didn’t even bother producing one of those predictably prejudiced pieces, like the ones we saw in Politico or the Washington Post yesterday, mischaracterizing Sasse’s bill as “anti-abortion.” They didn’t bother with the “conservatives pounce!” stories, like the Daily Beast or Vox did. They didn’t bother, like so many others, to distract from the number of viable babies being aborted by stressing only 1.5 percent of the procedures are post-20 weeks’ gestation, rather than pointing out there are somewhere around 15,000 to 18,000 aborted every year. They just ignored it.

CNN features a long string of stories about Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen on the site—surely, legitimate news—but not one about a highly unpopular policy position that is supported by every Democratic Party presidential hopeful in the Senate. This issue that dominated the political discussions of around half the country yesterday was not worth a single piece from this unbiased, undeterred, truth seeking, information-gathering operation. I wonder why that is?

As far as we can tell as of this writing, in the 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. hours, CNN anchor Dave Briggs reported, not on the debate over the infanticide bill or the vote, but on a Trump tweet about the debate (the heroin of mainstream journalism):

President Trump is slashing Senate Democrats for blocking a Republican-sponsored abortion bill. The bill would punish any doctor who fails to provide medical care for a child born alive after an attempted abortion. Democrats filibuster denied the measure, the 60 votes needed for a final vote. The president tweeted, apparently from Air Force One that ‘The Democrat position on abortion is now so extreme that they don’t mind executing babies after birth. This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress.’”

Would the network have mentioned the vote at all had Trump not tweeted about it? It’s also worth noting that CNN.com, one of the most popular news sites on the Internet, has far more eyeballs than CNN. Most young people don’t watch cable news.

Anyway, I figured I would also check on MSNBC television. As far as I can tell, the network didn’t bother mentioning the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act a single time on TV yesterday. Its website doesn’t feature a single story about the bill or vote. That’s to be expected, I suppose.

Surely, I said, the august NBC News would have an article on such a divisive issue. “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act?” Nada. “Ben Sasse abortion?” Nada. Lots and lots of stories about Sasse’s criticism of the president, but no space on the internet for his legislation banning the termination of viable infants. There is a single line buried in Chuck Todd’s newsletter about “Born Alive abortion bill” that, tellingly enough, links to a Wall Street Journal piece.

How about ABC News? Nothing on “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors.” I did find a single buried wire story incorrectly headlined: “The Latest: Democrats block Senate GOP anti-abortion effort.” The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act, a bill name that so many journalists assiduously avoid, would not stop a single abortion.

Now, I will confess that the search tools for some of these sites are difficult to navigate, so I may have missed something. Clearly, however, most of them did their best interference for Democrats, who took an unconscionable vote this week that couldn’t be spun by the typical bias. Or put it this way, if Republicans had taken a vote that was deeply unpopular with the majority of Americans, you’d be hearing about it. Over and over again.

My hope for you is that you have had a prayer of salvation,
and if you haven't and you want to ask Christ into your heart and life,
then I offer these words for you to repeat,
but only if your heart is sincere,
because God knows it if you're not.
Dear God, I now know I have needed you and have
rejected your calling, so today, right now,
I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and my life,
and forgive me from all past sin and
Lord cleanse me from my unrighteousness.
I believe that Jesus was crucified for my sin, died, and
was buried and rose from
the dead according to the scriptures.
I want you forever more to be my guide
and I want to follow you as a believer.
I ask for your strength to change my heart
and my earthly ways so that I can become
a better child in your kingdom.
Show me how to depend on you in all things.
And show me how to do your will in my life.
I thank you and pray this prayer
in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
