Praying, Responding, and Answers

This is reality. If you're a new believer, you're going to have to develop your obedience to God and your walk before HIM in the most honest way you can muster and ask HIM for strength to change the disobedient ways and dishonest thoughts and actions. If you want answers to prayers sooner than later, these two things have to be in subjection to God's will.

Here's why! If we can't walk daily minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day in honest obedience, God will spend more time teaching you about it through life's lessons than He will answering your prayers. Why, because HE's not going to spoil you! Only a mother and father will spoil you without high expectations of obedience!

Now, once you have attained a certain level of walking daily in honesty before God, and in obedience to HIS word, everything between HIS will and your natural inclinations will synergistically fall into place as one walk.

How do I know? I have attained that level and I'm going to give you a shiny example of a recent situation that happened to me.

I live in Hong Kong SAR, and recently I was in Kowloon, in Kowloon Park. It's big and in a couple of areas the government gives free Wi-Fi. I was near a McDonald's Ice-cream stand they have here and using the Wi-Fi. It was a rainy day and I had brought my umbrella and hung it on the railing behind me, I was leaning up against. I decided to go above the McDonalds Ice-cream stand to a different place to sit and use the Wi-Fi. So I did, not realizing I left my umbrella hanging on the fence railing.

About 30 to 45 minutes later I realized I had forgot it. I packed my stuff back in my back pack quickly, and went to a place I knew I could look down upon the place I had been sitting. Guess what, my umbrella was gone! But I decided to walk down to that place anyways to look around. So I did. Then I wondered if maybe I had taken it with me so I went back to where I just left and looked some more. It didn't take me long to realize my umbrella was gone. I immediately was upset and thought some thief had stole it. I went back to listening to the You Tube video I had been listening to and stayed another hour or so.

As I left that spot, I started praying to God to let me find the person and my umbrella. This particular umbrella had a repair to it I had done, so I knew when I saw it, I would know it was mine, because it had a plastic wine cork where a screw on cap used to be because the umbrella had a sheath that slide over it to hold water after a rain in case you had to go inside a building without dripping on the floor.

I walked all around different areas far and wide just seeing if I might see it. I went from one side of the park to the other. Finally I ended up in an area that lead up to the swimming pool area and I stopped and said one last prayer asking God to let me find the thief and the umbrella. Now, I was getting a bit more upset by now thinking why would someone steal my umbrella so quickly. Anyways, I felt lead to walk back up towards the McDonalds restaurant that is also there in a different location than the Ice-cream stand. As I got to the top of the stairs and walked around an island of greenery, I spotted a park official walking with 2 umbrellas in his hand and mine was one of them. I immediately ran up to him and pointed at my umbrella and said, my umbrella, that's my umbrella.

Now being in Hong Kong I don't think this older man knew how to speak English, but he figured out enough to let me take my umbrella from him, because I figured he probably picked it up off the fence rail I left it on. So now I had an answer to prayer that was within an hour or two of when I started praying about it. As a believer in Christ, I don't believe in luck, nor do I believe in coincidences! This was destiny and an answer to my prayer because I was lead by instinct to walk in certain areas and even the timing related to the speed of my walking. This was a huge park and the chances of this happening are phenomenally a large ratio I'm sure!

So I was being actively guided by the Holy Ghost in my natural sense.

So you see, if we are just aware of the still small voice of the Holy Spirit's leading, we can get answers to prayers.

This is by far, not the first time God has answered my prayers in a matter of hours and days! You too can have the same experiences if you just concentrate on an honest and obedient walk before your sovereign Father in Heaven!
