THE TRUTH

It's May 22nd 2019 and I'm full of questions.

John 8:31,32 says this, Then says Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

So I have to ask the first question, "Why would anyone not want to be free?"
Free from intimidation, control, group pressure, society pressure, political correctness pressure, friends pressure, or family pressure?

Our conscientiousness should be God centered.

As we walk through life and are faced with all kinds of challenges, should we bow to tradition, should we bow to culture? Should we bow to political correctness? Should we bow to a group theory, or attitude?

No! We need to stand fast in the word of God. And we need to study and know the word of God!
Sometimes as a true believer in God our father and HIS son Jesus Christ, we have to be like an Island, isolated from all the mainland.

Faith is the key!
Here's why! 1st: without faith, it's impossible to please God! Hebrews 11:6. If you are facing a situation that by attending a certain event, or agreeing with certain people, or joining a certain group, you deny the biblical principles you know are the TRUTH, then you are pandering to the devil, and also giving your stamp of approval to whatever it is that is not of a biblical or moral standard!

As believers in Christ, we have to have integrity! We have to stand firm in our beliefs and convictions!

Now I will differ to a specif point. When our children do things that are against moral standards or societal standards, how should we react? Culture or tradition dictates differently than what our God would expect!

I can give examples here, the woman at the well who had five husbands, but the current was not her husband, John 4:17,18. The woman caught in adultery, John 8:3-11. In the old testament, Lot's daughters, Genesis 31-36 or Noah's son, Genesis 9:20-25.

The question remains, did Noah, did Lot, did Jesus act like it was okay for these things to happen?

So, if we go along with any event that happens after we know the TRUTH was disregarded, what message does that send to those who disregarded biblical morals, guidelines or societal expectations and Truth? What position does it put us in when we know that an immoral or sinful act created the event that we are expected to comply with through attendance or otherwise?

We really need to side with our God, side with moral standards, hold to our integrity and be an example in thought, word, and deed!
