The Truth about Pride (a poem)

Proverbs 8:13  To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.

Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Psalm 59:12 For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their ... For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be
caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter .

Psalm 73:6 Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe ... Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. They wear pride like a jeweled necklace and clothe themselves with cruelty.

Proverbs 13:10 Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

The truth about pride, is it is a sin, the Lord hates our pride that comes from within;

He tells us through 1st John 2:16, if you read His word, you'll know what He means;

Our pride denies the Truth, when we need it the most, the sin of pride plays Satan’s host;

We can be confident in every breath, our arrogant pride is what brings to us death;

Yes death is culminated in sin; the pride of life is what eats us within;

The lust of the eyes, and the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, brings us sure death;

How can we overcome this one sin, by asking Christ Jesus to come live within?

We need to be humble, sincere, and repent, the day is at hand cause the night is but spent;

We live in the darkness of ignorant bliss, ignoring God's laws and its blessings we miss;

His wish is that not anyone is to perish, forgiveness and Love is the Lord's we should cherish;

Pride has an evil existence in all, pride always comes just before a great fall;

It leads to the path of our eminent destruction, read Proverbs 16:18's instruction;

Can we stop this human condition; It is not for our spirits nutrition;

It is a substance of poison and shame, death to our character, our conditions to blame;

Born into sin as we were from our birth, Adam and Eve through their pride did unearth;

Lawlessness, disobedience and pride, cause they could not admit to their fallin' side;

All of them said, someone else was to blame, was this pride that brought to God shame;

Think about this, all our pride causes friction, even in fun by our own competition;

Hurt, pain, and humiliation, brought by the pride through our indignation;

This is all that I'll say about this, Love covers a multitude of sin, can you grasp it;
